GRABAR LAW OFFICE INVESTIGATES CDK GLOBAL CYBER ATTACK AND DATA BREACH ON BEHALF OF CAR DEALERSHIPS AND REPAIR SHOPS
Was your dealership or repair shop impacted by the recent CDK Cyber Attack and Data Breach?
If so, Grabar Law Office is investigating potential claims on your behalf.
CDK Global is a major player in the auto sales industry, providing software technology to dealers for day-to-day operations such as vehicle sales, financing, insurance, and repairs.
On June 18, 2024, and again the following day, CDK Global experienced back-to-back cyberattacks, leading to a shutdown of its systems and major disruptions for car dealerships in North America.
CDK’s failures to implement reasonable data security caused a data breach and has disrupted the business operations of thousands of car dealerships and automobile maintenance and repair services businesses that use or rely on CDK’s software solutions to run their businesses. The CDK data breach has slowed dealership and repair shop sales and forced auto dealerships and repair centers, and other businesses, to find alternative methods to order parts, and produce titles, contracts, leases, registration cards and other forms that must be delivered to customers, banks, and state departments of motor vehicles. Some impacted businesses have resorted to writing contracts by hand and asking customers to wait days to take delivery of their vehicles. Vehicle services and repairs have hit a standstill in some cases because necessary parts cannot be ordered.
In addition, the breach has potentially exposed the sensitive personally identifiable information of millions of consumers.
If your business was impacted by the CDK data breach, you may be entitled to recover financial damages as well as a court approved service award, if appropriate, at no cost to you whatsoever.
